Actress Natasha Richardson was taken off life support today. She is survived by husband Liam Neeson, two sons, and her mother Vanessa Redgrave. Her family issued a press release stating "Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time." Richardson passed away in New York after being transferred from a hospital in Montreal. She suffered a fall in a beginning ski slope in Quebec on Monday, and had been pronounced brain dead on Tuesday. Neeson and her sons had been by her side since she was transported to New York. She was a magnificent actress and will be deeply missed. My heart goes out her family.
